Big, brightly feathered and beloved by millions, Big Bird makes his feature film debut in the live-action family film Sesame Street Presents: Follow That Bird. After well-meaning do-gooder Miss Finch (Sally Kellerman) sends Big Bird (Caroll Spinney) to the suburban Dodo family for adoption, the gawky, gullible eight-footer runs away and heads back to Sesame Street. When word spreads that Big Bird has flown the coop, all his old buddies—human and otherwise—join in the search for their fine-feathered friend. But Big Bird has run into the Sleaze Brothers—Sid (Joe Flaherty) and Sam (Dave Thomas)—a couple of conniving carnies who paint our yellow hero aquamarine!
